If you have grown up in church or been exposed to religion is some way, at some point you have heard the phrase, “eternal life”. Just what is it? Is it an endless existence floating on the clouds in a place called heaven one day? Is it just living forever? Or did Jesus and His early followers understand it to be something much more than that? In fact, something that has more to do with living in the “nasty now and now”, rather than living in the “sweet by and by”?
